I visited the Caravan Salon 2025 in Düsseldorf and captured my impressions in text, photos, and video.

The Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf gives a glimpse into how people live, feel, and organize their daily lives. Walk through a typical neighborhood today, and you’ll see them everywhere: caravans, campers, and motorhomes, ready to go. “Ready to go” – whenever, wherever, and with whoever you like. This is freedom in its purest form: traveling, discovering new places, yet still having your home with you.
Of course, you can also travel by motorcycle, bicycle, or on foot. But sleeping on the road in your own camper is something truly special. That feeling of independence – that is the real luxury.
It goes without saying that camper travel is popular worldwide. Whether through Italy, Switzerland, Spain, or Scandinavia – everything is possible with a caravan. The Caravan Salon expresses exactly that. If you want to see everything, you should allow several days.
Even my journey there was an experience: campers and motorhomes from all over Europe, all with the same goal – to be part of it. My parking lot was about three kilometers away, but the excellent shuttle service brought me comfortably right to the exhibition arena, next to the Düsseldorf football stadium.
A tip: comfortable shoes are a must, and sporty clothing as well. The area is huge, with countless halls and booths. There is something to see – and eat – everywhere. Bring a bag, because flyers and brochures accumulate quickly. Names like Fendt, Hobby, Kabe, Dethleffs, Bürstner, Adria, Hymer, Carthago, Weinsberg, LMC, Sunlight, Niesmann+Bischoff, Malibu, Tabbert, Pössl, Laika, Concorde, and Knaus – all the big names in the caravan world are represented here.
The event is spectacular. From luxury motorhomes to compact entry-level models, everything is there. The comfort is impressive – traveling at the highest level. No manufacturer comes unprepared: innovation, design, and technology merge into a complete mobile experience.
What you see there exceeds the ordinary. It is a mobile show of superlatives, full of highlights, trends, and ideas. Beautiful vehicles, beautiful people, curious visitors – a feast for the senses, the eyes, and the imagination. The market is booming; you can feel it in every hall. More and more people want to experience new things on the road, freely and independently.
The idea of traveling in your own little home – kitchen, bedroom, living room always with you – has something magical. While the landscape changes outside, everything inside remains familiar. A living painting, constantly in motion – and you are right in the middle of it.
I hope I’ve given you a taste of it. I took many photos and videos to capture the atmosphere. If you want to use one of my images, please credit: CARAVANDRIVE. In the footer, you’ll find a link to share your opinion or write a review yourself. And if you want to sell your caravan – you are in the right place anyway.
I wish you much enjoyment at the next Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf – maybe we’ll see each other there.
